Iran’s manipulation of mainstream US media

It has become public knowledge that many of the major news reports from last year contain false information. A large part of this has to do with lobbyists from other countries who work to influence foreign policy. This is the case with Iran.

Or at least it was the case. Unlike the President before him, the new US President is not loyal to Tehran, meaning that loyalists no longer have the same holding as before.

Iranian regime’s concern and fear faced with the organised opposition

The Iranian regime’s Ministry of Intelligence recently published a report about the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK) in which it was mentioned that officials were concerned about the tendency of the youth of Iran to support the MEK. It also confirmed that it was aware of the MEK’s popular status at home and abroad.

The head of a state-funded ‘Habilian’ foundation - Hashemi Nejad said: “We have held 300 exhibitions against MEK in Iran up to now. These days, MEK is getting recognized as a leading institute in Human Rights (…)”

AP story on Iranian opposition MEK: Misrepresentation or mistake?

A press spokesman of the largest Iranian opposition movement, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) or MEK has described the AP story, “Trump Cabinet pick paid by 'cult-like' Iranian exile group,” Feb. 5, 2017, as “a rehashing of old and long-debunked allegations aimed at disparaging the principal Iranian opposition group, the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK) and its bipartisan supporters.”  

The Associated Press has failed to correct many “errors and misrepresentations of facts.”

MEK Represents the All-Out Antithesis Against the Religious Fascism Ruling Iran

Debate over Iran and policy vis-à-vis the Iranian regime has once again become an urgent matter discussed especially in Washington. The reason is clear: Despite all the illegitimate concessions provided by the Obama administration to the theocracy ruling Iran, not only has nothing changed regarding the mullahs’ actions, in fact they have become emboldened in regards to domestic oppression, meddling in the Middle East, especially Syria, and the production of weapons of mass destruction. It is quite natural that the approach towards and an evaluation of the main Iranian opposition, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), is at the heart of these discussions.

US lawmakers promise Iranian Opposition that there will be tougher laws on Iran

A bipartisan group of US lawmakers have promised the Iranian Opposition that they will press for tougher sanctions on the Iranian Regime.The House members made this pledge to the Organization of Iranian-American Communities (OIAC) on Tuesday.

 On January 21 the Huffington Post published an article by Harvard-educated, Dr. Majid Rafizadeh, American political scientist, and president of the International American Council on the Middle East, about the unprecedented move by 23 bi-partisan senior former US officials, who signed a critical letter and hand delivered it to President Donald Trump.
