In an article published by Fox News on February 06, 2017, Lucas Tomlinson, Pentagon and State Department producer for Fox News Channel, writes that two U.S. officials revealed to Fox News that Iran fired off five advanced surface-to-air missiles as part of a military exercise on Sunday, less than a week after the White House put Iran “on notice” for conducting a ballistic missile test.

INU - Despite previous reports that Iran had backed down from plans to follow up its previous ballistic missile test with another launch at the same site, Fox News reported late Wednesday that another launch had indeed been detected at the Semnan launch pad. The incident demonstrates continued defiance by the Iranian regime and particularly the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps in the wake of tough talk from Trump administration, which issued a statement last week putting Iran “on notice” over its aggressive behaviors and particularly its January 29 test-launch of a medium range ballistic missile.
On Wednesday, the Washington Free Beacon published an article describing the Trump administration’s apparent intention to bolster the American missile defense system, in order to head off developing threats from Iran, North Korea, China, and others. The article asserted that the missile programs belonging to these countries were growing, and also that there are increasingly elaborate procurement networks among them.
In the face of recent economic sanctions from the Trump administration, new satellite imagery, verified by US officials, shows that Iran removed their latest missile being prepared for launch. (Fox News)
