Iran’s former oil minister: We have 20 million poor people in the country

“We have 20 million poor people in the country. At a time when our factories are down, the factory producing even more poor people is working quite well, alongside with producing even more poverty. The country has become a powder keg, especially regarding the unemployment issue,” he added.

“If one is not ready to be held accountable, take risks and accept responsibility, they should not be in such a position,” he said in reference to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani. “There are some who said we will resolve the country’s problems in 100 days. They now have political Alzheimer about pledging all political and missile sanctions will be lifted. Now they are saying we have only paved a path ahead.”
