On Friday, two days after US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo delivered a speech in Egypt aimed at shoring up opposition to Iranian influence in the region, the State Department announced that Pompeo would also be leading a global summit in Poland next month, with an emphasis on the Middle East and more specifically on Iran.
