Human Rights is the Real Reason for Iran’s Brain Drain

Writing at the Mideast Times website, Hossein Forouzandeh reports on the “brain drain” that affects Iran as its young citizens leave to study abroad, and do not return. He cites information from the US State Department, which indicates that some 5,000 Iranian students entered the US in 2011 to pursue undergraduate or graduate degrees, and that this number tends to increase by 20 percent each year.
