The Iranian regime, while utilizing all of its resources, tried to eliminate his mandate shows to what extent the clerical regime is in fear of revelation of its anti-human crimes. At the same time, the strong vote for extension of this mandate manifests the widespread concern of international community regarding ruthless and systematic violations of human rights in Iran.

In a report to the U.N. Human Rights Council, the U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said Hassan Rouhani, the president of clerical regime has failed to allow greater freedom of expression and there has been a sharp rise in executions since his election.

Ban highlighted the prevalent use of capital punishment in Iran and called for the release of activists, lawyers and journalists as well as political prisoners that were in custody for exercising their rights to free speech and assembly.

The United Nations Special Rapporteurs (12 March 2014) on the situation of human rights in Iran, on summary executions, on torture, and on violence against women expressed alarm today at the ongoing spike in executions in the country; which recently included the hanging of a former child bride amid questionable circumstances.

Some 700 prisoners have been executed in Iran since Presidency of Rouhani and some 60 residents of Camps Ashraf and Liberty have been murdered by the Iraqi government upon the orders of the Iranian regime.
