Iran: Many Political Prisoners Show Support and Solidarity With the Syrian Resistance and the People of Aleppo

The National Council of Resistance of Iran published a letter dated December 18, that they wrote.  The political prisoners’ letter follows:

O, Aleppo, we praise your resistance. You the people of Aleppo and the combatants resisted to the last breath without water, bread, food, medicine and medical care or hospitals against Russians heavy bombing and airstrikes and brutal attacks by Assad forces and Iranian regimes mercenaries and sectarian militias.

The cry of the innocence and oppressed people (of Aleppo) and appeal of the hungry women and children for help did not receive any response and the mercenaries of anti-human regime in Iran occupied Aleppo under the umbrella of heavy bombing and airstrikes by Russia. After the occupation, they viciously started killing and executing and intimidating the residents. This is a war crime (and a crime against humanity) that provokes outrage, anger and shame of every human being.

The hearts of Iranian people and Syrian people and combatants are together and one heart because we have a common pain and both nations have suffered lifelong oppression of dictatorships. We have no doubt that what happened in Aleppo will be ruined on the head of Assad regime and this is a historic ambuscade that will finish both regimes in Iran and Syria altogether.

The time and opportunities for both regimes of Iran and Syria have ended and the revolution is alive in both countries, and soon people of both nations with the storm of revolution and popular developments will get rid of both evil regimes.

Political Prisoners in Gohardasht Prison, Iran

December 18, 2016

A Christian political prisoner incarcerated in Gohardasht prison in Karaj, Ebrahim Firouzi, has written to George Sabra, former President of Syrian National Coalition. He expressed his sympathy, and announced his support for the people of Syria.

The NCRI published part of his letter. In it he says, It is not only me and you but also our nations that are the victims of the aggressive policies of the mullahsregime ruling Iran. We have a common pain and are sympathetic because for the regime of Velayat-e faqih, which is an example of Nazism today, the people of Iran and Syria do not matter and the mullahs would not hesitate to destroy the world in order to satisfy their sense and ambition of dominating the world if they find it necessary.

He also says, The reactionary regime ruling Iran has taken backward the civil societies of our countries and the two nations hope for establishing an advanced and democratic society is the resistance that emerges in us with the power of God.

Also in Karaj, another group of political prisoners have condemned the crimes committed by the Iranian regime and its mercenaries in Syria and expressed their solidarity with people in Aleppo. The NCRI has published parts of their letter as well, it follows here:

“Having spent years of our lives in prison, we prisoners are quite familiar with the nature of turning the truth upside down by regimes media, but you could easily find out about the crimes committed in Aleppo even amidst the regimes distorted and censored news.

“From inside the prison, we tell the hero of a city, Aleppo, which heroically sustained 15 months of bombing, and to each and every one of our unseen dearest women, men and children of Aleppo: your endurance, fight and resistance despite all its pain and suffering, was a new model for determination to take control of one’s destiny’ which changed the regional and global balance of power, with its signs already emerging and its unbelievable fruits sure to come.

“Although we are in captivity and subject to the retaliation by those same people who are killing you, and, ironically, despite being held captive in our own home Iran for the same reason you have been slaughtered at yours, but please accept our sympathy and know that we are standing by your side. The interventions by the so-called Iranian leaders are condemned as war crimes by not only any noble, liberal Iranian, but also by any global citizen’.

“Looking back at the protests by students and youth in the United States during the Vietnam war as well as the protests held by French students and people against Frances intervention in Algeria, and together with youth in Ahwaz and all the enlightened and courageous Iranian students, we yell from the depths of prison: we are all with you, Aleppo.”
