Iran Regime’s Human Rights Violations Leave No Justification for Talks and Negotiations – Day 114 of Revolution

Mohammad Mehdi Karami and Seyed Mohammad Hosseini, two of the detained protesters were executed on January 7, 2023

First Mohsen Shekari, then Majidreza Rahanavard, and now Mohammad Mehdi Karami and Seyed Mohammad Hosseini this is the Iranian regime’s response to the peacefully protesting people of Iran.

The regime’s killing machine has started and will not stop if the international community continues its appeasement and political and economic relations. Under the shadow of this shameful policy, the regime will only speed up its cruelty.

Policies and negotiations such as the nuclear deal may be directly responsible for more executions and human rights violations inside Iran, making it possible for the regime to smell fear and weakness.

The regime has only one goal, to instill fear among the people in the hope to quell the ongoing protests. Fabricated sentences such as “enmity against God”, and “Corruption on earth” are used to target peaceful protesters.

Thousands of people have been arrested in the wave of demonstrations that began with the death of Mahsa Amini in mid-September in the custody of the regime’s morality police.

Many of them face the fate of the four young people who have been executed in relation to the protests. The regime comes second only to China when it comes to the number of executions worldwide, but with a much smaller population.

In addition, detainees face cruel torture, which is rife in the regime’s prisons. The human rights situation is deteriorating. The regime is aware that it will not remain in power even for a day without repression, torture, and execution. Many of those executed are forced to confess to crimes that they have not committed.

The regime doesn’t allow those on trial to pick their own lawyers or see the evidence against them. In Iran, there exists no meaningful judicial proceeding.

The Iran Human Rights Society (IRS) published recently the names of 39 people who are charged with moahrebeh and corruption on earth, where the prisoners will be convicted to death.

According to IRS, the regime has executed about 623 people in 2022. This is 273 more than in 2021. Since the start of 2023, the regime has executed three other prisoners. On January 3, the 22-year-old Yousef Mirzavand was executed in Dezful.

And on January 1, two prisoners were executed in Karaj Central prison. They were identified as Ahmad Bachaghi and Azizbeig Hosseini.

January 7 marked the 114th day of anti-regime protests in Iran. The demonstrations began following the heinous murder of Mahsa Amini, 22, in police custody. However, it immediately turned into a revolution against the entire theocratic regime.

According to the Iranian opposition Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK/PMOI), the protests have extended to 280 cities. The regime has killed over 750 citizens, injured tens of thousands, and detained more than 30,000. The MEK has published the names of 614 killed protesters.

In her tweet, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the National Council Resistance of Iran (NCRI) condemned the regime’s cruelty and recalled the democratic countries to stop their talks and relations with this regime. She wrote:

“This morning bloodthirsty Khamenei shed the blood of Mohammad Mehdi Karami and Seyed Mohammad Hosseini to save his rule in face of the Iran revolution. But the blood of these brave souls runs in the veins of millions of Iran’s youths determined to bring down Khamenei.

“If the mullahs think Iran’s revolution can be stopped through repression, torture, and execution, they are gravely mistaken. Our people’s response to suppression and killings-Khamenei’s main tool for preserving power is Iran protests and the regime’s overthrow.

“Execution and killing under torture, leave no justification for talks and negotiations with the clerical regime ruling Iran.

The UN, and EU member states, need to take urgent actions:

– Shut down Iran terror embassies

–  Blacklist IRGC and blacklist MOIS

– Expel Iran diplomat terrorists.”
