Arzhang Davoodi, has spent 11 years in various prisons in Iran since 2003. During this time, he has been transferred to solitary cells twice for several months and subjected to physical and psychological torture by interrogators of intelligence ministry. His wife was also arrested by the intelligence ministry for defending his rights and directing legal support for his case, and was detained for four months in solitary confinement under physical and psychological torture.  

Recently, Arzhang Davoodi was sentenced to death despite completing his original prison sentence, after the intelligence interrogators produced false documents against him. His home was also confiscated from him following a letter sent by the office of Ali Khamenei, the regime’s supreme leader.
