Iran: The Gunslinger Cabinet of the Hanging Judge

The Iranian regime is appointing many of the government’s ministers and other officials from the IRGC because of its unstable and critical situation.

A gunslinger cabinet is a cabinet where all its members stem from the military. At present, the Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi has chosen most of his cabinet and the key positions from the members of the regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), and these people are choosing from their relatives for the government’s other positions.

Meanwhile, the people of Iran describe Raisi’s government as one of death and gunslingers. Usually, in any democratic country, the government chooses the members of its cabinet from experts and specialists with high education so that they help the progression of the country and provide and best services to the people.

Introducing Raisi’s cabinet

Rostam Ghasemi has a forty-year record in the IRGC. He is one of the most corrupt persons in the government, according to experts. During his tenure as the minister of oil, there was a case of $ 2.3 billion of embezzlement. During his time in the Ministry of Oil, an oil rig disappeared mysteriously, which belonged to the NAJA pension fund. Ghasemi was included in the EU sanction list.

Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi, the first commander of the IRGC Quds Force, is wanted by Interpol for involvement in the AMIA bombing in Argentina.

Ismail Khatib, the notorious Minister of Intelligence, is one of the founders of the Revolutionary Guards Intelligence and is involved in the killing and torture of detainees, who were mainly opponents to the regime.

Ezatollah Zarghami is among the so-called students following the line of Imam Khomeini and is a member of the IRGC.

Amir Abdollahian is a person close to the regime’s Quds Force and its slain commander Qassem Soleimani, due to two decades of responsibility in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, especially in the Arab and African positions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the regime. Amirabdollahian later during a meeting with European delegations and officials said that you should thank the Islamic Republic and Soleimani because Soleimani has contributed to world peace and security. He believes that without Soleimani, the major countries in the region would have disintegrated. A clear sign of his support of the regime’s global terrorism.

IRGC officers Bahram Ainollahi and Mohammad Ali Zolfi Gol were appointed to the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Science of Raisi’s cabinet.

Javad Oji, the Minister of Oil, was the head of an institution, most of whom were commanders of the IRGC and the security forces. People who were involved in repression and other crimes under the guise of unknown soldiers.

Mohammad Reza Gharayi Ashtiani, Minister of Defense, is one of the figures who participated in the oppression of the people of Iran’s Kurdistan and is considered the shadow of Sayad Shirazi. Shirazi was slain by the Iranian opposition group the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran in 1999 because of purging and executing military personnel and for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of teenagers in the Iran-Iraq war, in which he commanded Iran’s ground forces.

Mohsen Rezaei, the former commander of the Revolutionary Guards, is now the economic deputy of Raisi’s government.

Saeed Mohammad, known as the caretaker of free zones, is the Advisor to the regime’s president in matters of free trade-industrial and special economic zones, which is described by the regime’s media as ‘a backyard for major economic projects,’ involved in the country’s major corruptions.

The seat of the Program and Budget Organization was also handed over to a former IRGC officer Massoud Mirkazemi.

Following these appointments, Raisi has appointed so far most of the provincial governors from the IRGC officers. This is not an impromptu choice. It is a decision made by the regime’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei because of the objective conditions of the society. The conditions of Iranian society are irritated and unstable. The Iranian people have lost their patience due to the severity of poverty. Intolerance of exhausting conditions will cause heavy protests, and this is something that regime is preparing for. Iran has witnessed a glimpse of this in recent days in Isfahan, where people and farmers held major protests demanding water, a situation that is still unstable and that could create critical conditions for the regime.
