Revolution Continues in Iran; Regime Faces Erosion – Day 79

On Saturday, December 3, 2022, regime forces are profoundly concerned over public backlash as the revolution continues across Iran. In this context, mullah MP Mohammad-Reza Moballeghi extraordinarily sounded this worry about people’s anger over the entire regime.

“If I have made a mistake, I should be punished, not the whole [system],” he said. At the time, regime security forces randomly gun down every one step into the streets with birdshot pellets and live ammo.

Notably, Revolutionary Guards Basij agent Pouyan Hosseinpour admitted that protesters no longer fear security forces. “This generation is no longer intimidated. It is resisting. We conflicted with several youths on the street for an hour,” he said on October 21. “We entered an alley with around 30 buildings; residents threw stones, vases, irons, furniture, and even barrels on us from all 30 rooftops.”

Protesters attacked and torched the regime’s symbols, IRGC Basij bases, and Khamenei’s representations in Tehran, Pakdasht, Kahrizak, Birjand, Bam, Taybad, Quchan, Sabzevar, Yazd, Golpaygan, Falavarjan, Jounaqan, Hamedan, Kermanshah, Saqqez, Ilam, Gachsaran, Dezful, Shush-e Danial, Mahshahr, Borazjan, Bushehr, Mehrestan, and Zahedan’s Shirabad.

December 3 marked the 79^th day of anti-regime protests in Iran. The demonstrations began following the heinous murder of Mahsa Amini, 22, in police custody. However, it immediately turned into a revolution against the entire theocratic regime.

According to the Iranian opposition Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK/PMOI), the protests have extended to 279 cities. The regime has killed over 680 citizens, injured tens of thousands, and detained more than 30,000. The MEK has published the names of 555 killed protesters.

• In an interview with one of the injured protesters in Iran with CNN’s Nada Bashir, he explained that security forces targeted his face from a close distance with a birdshot, resulting in losing his eye forever.
• French MP Angelique Ranc sounded her concerns over the situation in Iran and the ongoing suppression of protesters. “I give my full support to the people,” she said.
• Freedom-loving Iranians and MEK supporters held rallies and photo exhibitions in Washington DC, Berlin, Paris, London, and the Hauge, supporting the ongoing revolution in Iran.
• “Iran [regime] is vulnerable. Three months ago, the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini in the custody of religious police sparked a nationwide uprising. It hasn’t ended. The mullahs have lost legitimacy,” wrote the Washington Free Beacon’s Matthew Continetti.
• “At least 28 people, including three children, can face execution in Iran in connection with nationwide protests,” Amnesty International stated. “Authorities use the death penalty as a tool of political repression to end the popular uprising.”
