On Sunday, November 27, 2022, truckers joined the nationwide strike in several cities. Simultaneously, college students continued the strike, boycotted classes, held sit-ins, and chanted anti-regime slogans in various universities in Tehran and Sanandaj.
Strikes, protests, and anti-regime activities continued in Tehran, Sanandaj, Marivan, Isfahan, Bandarabbas, Marand, Kashan, Qazvin, Karaj, Kermanshah, Yazdanshahr, Jounaqan, Shahinshahr, and Farrokhshahr.
Furthermore, dozens of citizens rallied outside the notorious Evin prison in Tehran, trying to find the whereabouts of their loved ones. Since the massive blaze in the prison on October 15, many citizens are in dark about the fate of many citizens detained during recent protests. Activists say the blaze was planned, and authorities intentionally killed up to 100 arrested protesters.
November 27 marked the 73rd day of anti-regime protests in Iran. The demonstrations began following the heinous murder of Mahsa Amini, 22, in police custody. However, it immediately turned into a revolution against the entire theocratic regime.
According to the Iranian opposition Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK/PMOI), the protests have extended to 255 cities. The regime has killed more than 660 citizens, injured tens of thousands, and detained over 30,000. The MEK has published the names of 528 killed protesters.

- Rebellious youths attacked IRGC bases in Tehran, Hamedan, Abdanan, Kerman, Mashhad, Karaj, and Yazdanshahr, Khamenei representative’s office in Sheiban, a state-backed bank in Ahvaz and Zibakenar, a local municipality in Tabriz, a security forces’ station in Sari, and regime’s symbols in Anar, Ardabil, and Babolsar. They also blocked the roads and obstructed security forces’ traffic in Kut Abdollah, Zahedan, Sarbaz, Iranshahr, Rafsanjan, and Loushan.
- In its November 27 edition, the state-run Arman daily quoted regime’s expert Bijan Abdolkarimi as saying, “Today, Iran’s society has utterly been polarized, which has paved the path for radicalism.”
- In his remarks, regime MP from Mahabad Jalal Mahmoudzadeh admitted that “Revolutionary Guards had a massive campaign against citizens and used live ammunition against civilians on November 20.” According to local reports, IRGC forces murdered more than 105 citizens in Mahabad and other Kurdish cities.
- “Honoured to speak at Iran Freedom Conference to support brave men and women of Iran rising up to end state violence and demand democratic human rights,” said Bob Blackman MP. “End the theocratic regime. End the executions for protesting. Proscribe the IRGC Terrorists.”
- National Council of Resistance of Iran’s Foreign Affairs Committee sat down for an interview with Prof. Ivan Sascha Sheehan to talk about the 72-day nationwide uprising in Iran.
- The IRGC chief-in-command Hossein Salami visited a restive province in eastern Iran, where the military has attempted to violently suppress a two-month-old protest movement, to warn locals against further unrest.
