Following the transfer of six prisoners in the Ghezel Hessar Prison in Karaj to solitary confinement in preparation for their execution, on Sunday, April 20, the prisoners in Hall 3 of Ward 2 of this prison staged a protest and prevented a 20-year-old by the name of Rasoul Talebia from being transferred to solitary cell in preparation for his execution. After this act by the prisoners, 250 agents from the special guards surrounded Hall 3. So far they have attacked this section several times, but have not been able to take this prisoner. In these raids at least one prisoner has been severely injured and transferred to a hospital outside the prison.

It is said that the special guards are tasked to suppress the prisoners at any price; hence, the Iranian Resistance is warning about a bloody attack against the defenseless prisoners.

On 15 March 2011, the suppressive forces opened fire on the prisoners in Ghezel Hessar Prison who were protesting the escalation of executions, killing scores of prisoners and wounding over 100 of them.

Similarly, on Thursday, April 17, regime’s suppressive forces conducted a barbaric raid on the political prisoners in Evin Prison severely injuring and battering dozens. To conceal their crime, the henchmen are refraining from transferring most of the injured to the hospitals outside the prison for medical treatment while some of the injured are in critical condition.
