Mohammad-Javad Zarif, Iranian regime’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, arrives in Baghdad. His trip to Baghdad is similar to that of Ghasem Soleimani, Commander of the terrorist Qds Force, on August 27. These trips both aim at two targets related to Syria and the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI).
Zarif carries missions on behalf of Khamenei; on one hand, he will oblige the Iraqi government to support Bashar Assad should the US launches an attack; on the other hand, he will commend the Iraqi government for the massacre and mass execution in Ashraf on September 1 and will also call for intensifying pressures and restrictions against the PMOI.
In recent days, other top officials of the Iranian regime have also commended this criminal act and massacre of the PMOI members. Khatami, member of the Assembly of Experts and the chief mullah for the Friday prayer, said on Friday September 6: I commend the brave children of Iraq who attacked Ashraf garrison. This was a great task Seventy of the PMOI leading figures were killed in this operation ……. This was the God’s revenge which was taken by the brave children of Iraq.
Also Ghasem Soleimani, Commander of the terrorist Quds Force, reported to the Assembly of expert on September 3: “More than 50 of them were killed; many of whom were leading figures of Monafeqin (The term used by the regime for the PMOI), and 10 of them have disappeared. This is more significant than the Mersad attack and in fact God’s promise was fulfilled. He stressed that this crime against humanity should continue and said: “We will support Syria right to the end … We do not take any notice of the enemies’ propaganda since Syria is the forefront of our resistance.”
