The misogynic mullah’s regime hanged Farzaneh Moradi, a 25-year-old woman, on March 4 in Isfahan Prison after she had suffered six years of imprisonment. This criminal sentence was carried out despite extensive internal and international opposition and without her lawyer’s knowledge. This wretched woman who is a victim of the rule of a bunch of corrupt and reactionary mullahs has left behind a small daughter. At the time of her execution, Farzaneh was in a dire physically and psychologically condition and was imbalanced.

Additionally, on March 3, a 23-year-old young man by the name of Mehrass was hanged in Jooybar. At the time of his arrest and when he had committed the alleged offense he was 17. Also, a day earlier (March 2), another 23-year-old young man was secretly hanged in Zahedan’s Central Prison. He too was only 17 at the time of his arrest.

In a criminal act on Wednesday, February 26, six prisoners were secretly and collectively executed in the Gohardasht Prison of Karaj. One of those executed was Reza Ganjloo, 20, who had less than 16 when arrested and had spent four years in the youth ward of Gohardasht Prison.

Therefore, just in the span of February 26 to March 4, three prisoners who were minors at the time of their arrest were hanged.

In conditions where the arbitrary and collective executions take on an added dimension, in the first 65 days of the year the number of executions has passed 150. Appeasing the henchmen ruling over Iran and dissemination of the illusion of moderation of this regime solely emboldens it in its executions, tortures and massacres.

A visit by Lady Ashton, the EU High Representative, to Tehran at the peak of these executions by the Iranian regime is considered an approval of policy of slaughter and suppression of this regime. Therefore, the Iranian Resistance calls on Lady Ashton to cancel her visit and not add to the agony of the Iranian people.
