International community needs to support Iran Resistance

He took this far beyond mere words and actually designated Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a global terrorist entity, as opposed to its foreign Quds arm.
These moves actually signify something that has been massively overlooked by many in the West; that the Regime’s terrorism and violence are first and foremost directed against the Iranian people.

The IRGC is the agency in Iran that is primarily responsible for quashing dissent through any means necessary, so by designating them as terrorists and pushing through new economic sanctions against them, the Trump administration has significantly weakened the repressive institution at a time when the Iranian people are taking part in an uprising.

Trump has paired his strong actions against the Regime with strong words condemning the human rights abuses of the mullahs and praising the people’s fight for democracy. This is not the same as waging war on Iran, no matter what some say.

So, what should Trump’s next move be?

Well, he could openly support the Iranian Resistance. The National Council of Resistance of Iran, which advocates for regime change in Iran and actually forms a government-in-exile, would greatly benefit from the approval of the leader of the free world.

Trump should continue to denounce the Regime, but he should also support the people who can lead Iran to freedom. After all, it’s much more authorities to hear about the crimes of the Regime from the Iranian people themselves.

The Iranian people and their resistance recently held a Free Iran gathering in Paris, where they brought about 100,000 people together to advocate for the NCRI as the democratic alternative to the mullahs.

We know that the NCRI is supported by the Iranian people because we can see how the people reacted when NCRI president Maryam Rajavi issued a call-to-action in March, encouraging the uprising and calling on everyone to do more.

Even the Regime are forced to admit that the Resistance is loved by the Iranian people. That’s why the Regime attempted to bomb the rally, using one of their European diplomats as the organiser. Thankfully, this attack was stopped by European authorities.

Bob Blackman, a Conservative Member of the U.K. House of Commons, wrote: “There is no better time to adopt such a strategy than now. This is as true for the nations of Europe as it is for the United States, and the national security interests on both sides of the Atlantic unmistakably align with the pro-democratic interests of the Iranian people.”
