Maryam Rajavi on the solution to the Syrian crisis

This leads us to a rather obvious solution to the Syrian crisis, one advocated for by Maryam Rajavi, the leader of the Iranian Resistance, back in 2016: Evict Iran from Syria and the Middle East.

Iran has sent many militias to Syria, some made up of terror cells in neighbouring countries, some of refugees who need Iranian citizenship, and some made up of actual children, which is why Maryam Rajavi suggests that the world adopt a decisive policy to confront Iran in order to end the war and bring peace to this part of the world.

The US has thankfully started to listen and has called on Iran to remove its militias from Syria – not that the mullahs will listen – and have vowed to leave US troops in Syria until all Iran-backed fighters have left. This is a good start, but the US (and the rest of the world) should do more to increase the practical efforts to evict Iran’s dictatorship from the entire region, as noted by Maryam Rajavi.

Condemning and isolating Iran
Maryam Rajavi advised that the UN Security Council, UN member states, and all other international bodies need to condemn the Iranian regime’s atrocities and meddling in Syria, while the Organization of Islamic Cooperation must expel the Iranian regime and all Arab and Muslim countries must cut ties with Iran.

Maryam Rajavi also advises that all deals and trade with IRGC-affiliated companies should be banned, as well as all forms of cooperation and joint action with the IRGC and its militias in Syria and Iraq under the pretext of fighting the Islamic State. After all, the Iranian Regime is not fighting ISIS. It actually helped create it.

Maryam Rajavi said that the international community should provide political, military, and financial backing to the democratic Syrian opposition, while also taking the necessary international measures to remove Iranian and Iranian-backed forces from Syria. This would include making all economic and political relations with Iran contingent on the Regime ending its meddling in the region and especially Syria.

Maryam Rajavi noted that in order to ensure that the Iranian Regime could no longer meddle in the Syrian crisis, they should also be excluded from any negotiations, as the Regime does not seek peace.
She also advised that UN Security Council resolution 2231 should be fully implemented in order to stop Iran from sending weapons to Syria, Iraq and terrorist groups.

Maryam Rajavi said: “I have no doubt that regardless of their differences, countries in the region are able to join hand in hand with the Iranian people and Resistance, in order to put an end once and for all to the rule of the Velayat-e Faqih regime and turn the page in the history of this part of the world.”
