Maryam Rajavi opened the conference to spontaneous and energetic cheers from the massive crowd,

Villepinte, France – supporters of democratic change for Iran gathered outside Paris today, in one of the largest ever gatherings to protest the current regime and seek a peaceful shift to legitimate governance in Iran.

Maryam Rajavi opened the conference to spontaneous and energetic cheers from the massive crowd, attracting wild enthusiasm from those at the front as well as the back of the conference.

Rajavi, President-Elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) waved the Iranian national flag onstage and was quite moved by the optimism and support shown by the crowd.

Additional speakers at the event include Rudy Giuliani, former Mayor of New York City and candidate for President of the United States; John Bolton, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations; Tom Ridge, former Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security; and more than 100 other international policy influencers.

“The election masquerade, which came to end with the introduction of the mullahs’ new president and the rocket attack on and the killing of the Mojahedin (in Camp Liberty, Iraq), reflects the phase of the regime’s overthrow. That sham had no semblance of a genuine or free election.”

“The new President [Rouhani], who has come to the scene with the slogan of moderation, is a veteran functionary of the machinery of war, security, and repression.”

“I personally and repeatedly wrote to President Obama, the UN Secretary General, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, the US Secretary of State and other officials, appealing to them to prevent the next massacare [at Camp Liberty.”

“The UN Secretary General and the US government could have paved the way for the return of the residents from Liberty to Ashraf.”

“The mullahs’ 35-year rule has resulted in killings, devastation, impoverishment, addiction, high prices and unemployment.”

“We believe in complete gender equality in political, social, and economic status.”

“We are committed to the separate of Religion and State. Any form of discrimination against the followers of any religion and denomination [should] be prohibited.”

“We want a non-nuclear Iran, free of weapons of mass destruction.”
