Maryam Rajavi: We Will Free Iran: Part 5

Previously, we looked at the history of the Resistance, where it is headed, why the Regime is disrupting the Middle East and the lies of the appeasement policy. Here we will look at why the only solution to the Regime is its overthrow by the people of Iran and why the levels of resistance in the country are the only way to judge the actual hatred for the Regime.

Maryam Rajavi began this section with a sentence that sums up everything about the Resistance, and why it does what it does.

She said: “The definitive, ultimate and indisputable solution is the overthrow of the religious dictatorship in its entirety at the hands of the people of Iran and their Resistance.”

Maryam Rajavi explained that the people who benefit from the continued existence of the Regime have continually given false promises of “reform and moderation”, which led to the false hardliner versus moderate debate that still survives in talk about the Regime until now. The idea is that the West should support the moderates and encourage change from within to avoid a hard snap to the right. Of course, there are no liberal mullahs because they all bow down to Ai Khamenei.

Maryam Rajavi points out that regime apologists have seen that this lie doesn’t fly anymore, so instead, they resort to the demonization of the Iranian Resistance, spreading fake news against them. That’s why Twitter had to suspend 11,500 of the Regime’s fake accounts in the past year alone.

Maryam Rajavi said: “They want to say that there is no alternative to the regime and everyone would benefit from tolerating the mullahs. But can they stop the wheels of history from turning? Can they reverse the progress of history? Never! The mullahs’ regime and those backing it in its fight against the people of Iran, keep repeating that the Iranian Resistance does not enjoy any support inside Iran. And we say and reiterate that if the regime’s claims are true, why it does not allow us to hold peaceful gatherings and demonstrations across Iran for one single day and only one day?”

The reason for that is simple. The Regime knows that if they were even to allow that for the Resistance, the Regime would be swept out of power that very day. So the mullahs need to keep up their repression in order to maintain their shaky grasp on power. Under the current system, there is only one way to judge the legitimacy of the Regime and that is by the resistance the people storm against it.

Maryam Rajavi said: “It is with the yardstick of resistance that one can measure the level of support for this movement. They can measure it by looking at the resolve of [freedom fighters], the struggle waged by units of rebellion, and the efforts and rallies of exiled Iranians and supporters of the Iranian Resistance who cry out, We will take back Iran.”
