The Arab League and Arab Parliament strongly denounce the Iranian regime’s missile strikes on the city of Irbil in northern Iraq, resulting in the tragic loss of several civilians.

Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the head of the Arab League, expressed his condemnation, emphasizing that these attacks constitute a blatant violation of Iraq’s sovereignty. He extended his condolences to the families of the victims and wished a swift recovery for those injured.

Jamal Rushdi, the league’s spokesman, characterized the assault by the Iranian regime’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as reprehensible and a condemnable breach of sovereignty and good neighborliness principles. He highlighted the dangerous escalation it poses, especially amidst the ongoing conflict between Hamas and Israel in the region.

Rushdi reiterated the league’s unwavering solidarity with the Iraqi government, acknowledging its efforts to uphold the country’s sovereignty, security, and regional stability.

The Arab Parliament declared, “This Iranian aggression is a blatant assault on Arab national security, as the security and stability of Iraq are integral to Arab security.” The parliament reaffirmed its full solidarity with Iraq, pledging support for all measures taken to preserve its sovereignty, stability, and the security of its citizens.
