Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei restated his country’s red lines for a nuclear deal Tuesday, , according to Agence France-Presse.

Banking and other economic sanctions imposed by the U.N. and the United States must be lifted “immediately” if a nuclear deal is signed, Khamenei said.

Iran will not accept inspections at its military sites or “unconventional inspections” of other facilities, he added.

Khamenei ruled out freezing Iran’s sensitive nuclear work for a long period.

“Freezing Iran’s research and development for a long time like 10 or 12 years is not acceptable,” he said.

Khamenei also said that the U.S. wanted to destroy entirely the Islamic republic’s nuclear industry.

“America is after destroying our nuclear industry altogether,” he said. “Our negotiators’ aim is to safeguard Iran’s integrity … and our nuclear achievements during the talks.”
