Iran: Furious youth clash with mullahs and their forces

On Tuesday, January 7, a furious youth in the northwestern city of Marand beat up the former head of regime’s Friday Prayer Leader in this city. The cleric is currently in the hospital.

Another cleric was shot dead by the youths in the city of Boroujen on Sunday, January 5.

On January 3, several youths also clashed with the security forces at a checkpoint in Tehran that had stopped a vehicle on bogus charges of improper veiling and tried to arrest them.

Recently checkpoints have increased in Tehran, especially in districts of Jannat-abad, Kan, and Shahr-e-Ziba and the security and patrol forces are assaulting and arresting the youth, especially women on bogus reasons.

A young Azerbaijani was executed by the regime on Tuesday morning, January 7, after 11 years in prison in Tabriz Central Prison. He was arrested at the age of 19.
