Rouhani tried to intimidate European powers saying “the European Union must fulfill promises it made under the deal” or the regime continues its unlawful breach of the agreement. by fulfilling promises Rouhani means that the EU should continue the appeasement policy and give more incentive packages to the Iranian regime.

Yet as Iran resorts to blackmailing and warmongering campaign, such as its attack on the Saudi oil installations, the European powers are shifting to a firmer policy vis-a-vis the Iranian regime.  Following the United Nations General Assembly last September, the EU powers warned Iran’s regime that if it takes the so-called fourth step in breaching its commitments under the JCPOA, they will leave the agreement to send the dossier to the United Nations Security Council.

The United Kingdom’s Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said on Wednesday, September 25, as he urged Tehran to come back into compliance with the 2015 nuclear deal (Reuters, Sept25)

“Iran’s record of respect for the basic rules of international law is woeful and it is getting worse,” he told the parliament.

AFP reported on September 26 that “Iran has started using advanced models of centrifuges to enrich uranium, the UN’s nuclear watchdog said Thursday, in a new breach of the faltering 2015 deal with world powers.”

Advanced centrifuges at Iran’s Natanz facility “were accumulating, or had been prepared to accumulate, enriched uranium”, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said in a report seen by AFP.

Under the terms of the JCPOA, Tehran is only meant to enrich uranium using less efficient IR-1 centrifuges.

“On 25 September 2019, the Agency verified that all of the (centrifuge) cascades already installed in R&D lines 2 and 3 … were accumulating, or had been prepared to accumulate, enriched uranium,” added the IAEA report.

As Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, said in her speech during the NCRI’s “Free Iran” gathering, the regime “Neither has the capability to negotiate, abandon terrorism or stop meddling in the region, nor does it have any space to maneuver like it did during the appeasement era.”

“Therefore, anyone who seeks freedom for Iran, anyone who wants to save Iran from destruction and chaos, anyone who wants global and regional peace and stability, must rise up to demand the overthrow of the mullahs’ regime” she added.
