INU – Zahedan, Iran – According to reports, on June 14 at 8:00 a.m., the regime took ballet boxes into the prisons in an attempt to force political and non-political prisoners to take a part in the election. They used threats and bribes to secure the votes; however, only 20 out of 300 prisoners succumbed to the pressure. At the lack of participation, some prison guards (IRGC) became abusive, cursed the prisoners for “turning your backs on Velayat (mullah regime),” and in one instance, beat a prisoner viciously for 10 minutes.

The two guards responsible for the attacks and threatening of prisoners are Mr. Ghalasi and Mr. Moselly.
