INU - Last week, the CHRI reported that a majority of Iranian legislators had signed a letter urging the government to ban all foreign social media platforms. This development threatens to reverse Tehran’s earlier decision to not make permanent its ban on the Telegram instant messaging app, following the mass protests that began in Mashhad on December 28 before spreading to upwards of 100 Iranian cities.

For more than five days, the people living in the Khuzestan province of Iran have been struggling to breathe because of a huge dust cloud. The media in Iran has reported that the situation is very serious, with the cloud being seven times worse than the maximum limit that is recommended.
