Concerns over Missile Tests Imply European Openness to More Sanctions on Iran

Following its initial delivery to United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres on March 25, a letter was released on Tuesday which showcased the latest European objections to Iran’s illicit missile activities. In January 2016, UN Security Council Resolution 2231 was passed to accompany the implementation of the Iran nuclear deal, and among its provisions was a call for Iran to avoid all development and testing of missiles that are designed to be capable of carrying a nuclear warhead.

INU- On Tuesday, Facebook revealed results of the latest in a series of efforts by social media giant to identify and remove accounts and pages that are affiliated with large-scale disinformation operations. The site came under widespread criticism in the wake of the 2016 US presidential election and the reports of Russian interference in the campaign process. But since then, Iran-linked operations have come to light and have been targeted in takedown efforts not only by Facebook but also by other social media platforms like Twitter.
