INU - The Nordic Representative for National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has written a letter to the Norwegian Minister of Justice Jøran Kallmyr regarding concerns by the Iranian Resistance over the behaviour of Dagens Næringsliv reporter, Eskil Engdal, and Iranian Intelligence Ministry (MOIS) agent Gjergji Thanasi, in visiting the Albanian residence of opposition group, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI).

INU - Earlier this week, a U.S. official announced that the recent attacks carried out in the Middle East were ordered and organised by the Iranian government and the country’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham  confirmed that senior members of the Trump administration had told senators that Iran was behind the attacks on a pipeline and ships in the region.

On Tuesday, the UK’s Express newspaper declared that concerns about the potential for war had increased further in the wake of Tehran’s announcement that Iranian production of low-enriched uranium had quadrupled soon after the one-year anniversary of US President Donald Trump’s withdrawal from the 2015 Iran nuclear deal. Iran and five world powers have since kept the deal in force without American participation, but the Islamic Republic’s latest action could set the stage for it to join the US in pulling out. Express described the regime’s threats to that effect as “chilling,” but it is not clear that such threats convey an increased danger of war, especially in light of other recent developments.
