Iran actively supports terrorism in the Middle East: Report

Echoing the outrage and upheaval that this attack caused across the Muslim world, he added:  “Naturally, this incident was condemned by all the entities in the world, except the Iranian regime.”

He went on to confirm the well-founded suspicions that the Islamic Republic of Iran has been supporting the Houthis, Hezbollah, Iraqi militias and other separatist movements. He stressed that the regime has been supplying these rebel forces with weapons in order to further destabilise the Middle East.

In the article, Mr. Moalmi also outlined the intentions of the regime. “The Assistant General Coordinator of the military headquarters of Khatam al-Anbiya, the Commander Salar Abnoush endeavors to defend the so-called Islamic Jurist by establishing a new [Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution] IRGC around the world.” He stated that is not surprising, considering the way the Iranian regime has been supporting terrorist organisations in order to destabilise the region.

He also examined the sources of encouragement for these actions and discussed the impact that the Western sanctions have had on Tehran.

“Iran’s oil exports to Asian countries have increased by 92% in August 2016 in comparison to the same period in 2015,” he stated. “The economic development would benefit Tehran to financially supply the military equipment, as well as its development. There are many indicators for this. In the recent period, the military officials of the Iranian regime introduced their plans for developing the military organs and they named themselves as Fatehan (the conquerors) brigade. In addition to that, Iranian military officials have threatened not to recognize the borders. Their main task is actually to defend the Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist in Iran.”

Mr. Moalmi went on to criticise the international bodies for their failure to monitor these developments. “Tehran has knowingly evaded the trivial supervision and it stealthily builds its military and intelligence arsenals. As the evidence emerges, Iran’s goal is to develop ballistic missiles and to provide the terrorist organs with training, information, communication and the financial support.” He stated that the Iranian regime is very transparent in its operations and, undoubtedly, will have a big part to play in holding any talks with the West.

Mr. Moalmi outlined what he believes to be the next step in the development, referring to the IRGC commander, Colonel Mahdi Hadavand and Fatehan Brigade commander. “Mahdi Hadavand stipulated that the Resistance forces including the Iranian and foreign ones will be trained and thus Tehran continues to provoke the conflicts and civil wars as well as supporting the gangs and thugs of the region.”

As the final piece of evidence, Mr. Moalmi referred back to the remarks made in Afghanistan, by the spokesman of the Taliban, who confirmed that the Taliban has very good relations with the Iranian regime. Mr. Moalmi concluded that all this provides enough evidence to suggest that Iran actively supports terrorism.
