Iran’s Foreign Stance as of the Anniversary of the Hostage Crisis

While CBS put this anniversary in context with the negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program, which are now less than 20 days from their deadline, Voice of America featured interviews with some of the victims of the hostage crisis and called into question the wisdom of the American approach to dealing with Iran today.

“Watching this farce of negotiations with Iran continues to open old wounds,” said one victim, Kevin Hermering, who added, “All of the [U.S.] administrations for the last 35 years have represented the interests of Iran over the interests of Americans.”
