Iran’s Terrorist Training Camps Exposed

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI, MEK or Mujahedeen-e Khalq), the main opposition to the Iranian regime, most recently revealed to Britain’s Daily Star on Monday that Iran has been overseeing a network of 14 terrorist training camps that are working towards being ready to strike the West.

The training camps are likely being overseen by the Quds Force, a special branch of the notorious Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) that has been designated by the United States. The Iranian opposition has said on many occasions that the Iranian regime is certainly going to increase its terrorist activity.

Given the presence of these terrorist camps, there are some very real concerns that Iran is planning on striking Europe and the United States.

The PMOI has provided a map with the locations of the suspicious sites and the headquarters appear to be in the Imam Ali military base which is approximately 10 hectares in size. Eight of the locations are near Tehran, the country’s capital. Another one is located in the Strait of Hormuz, on Queshm Island.

Tensions in the region have been escalating because of the Iranian regime’s provocations and malign acts. The United Kingdom and the United States have both been on the receiving end of malicious intent by Iran and the two countries have joined forces to ensure safety in the Gulf waters where Iran has been seizing vessels.

In the Strait, there have been a number of attacks on tankers and it is almost certain that Iranian terrorist proxies are responsible. The Trump administration has also said that Iran has been training terrorists across the region.

A spokesperson for the MEK, Mr. Gobadi, explained to the Daily Star Online that the Iranian regime has been providing “financial, material, logistical support, weapons, training” and so on to proxies in Yemen, Syria, Iraq and Lebanon and that they have been directly engaged in conflicts and wars. These proxies are responsible for incidents across the world, including in the United States, Argentina, France, Germany, Denmark and Nigeria, to name but a few.

Iran has also been linked to the war in Yemen that is continuing. Iran is providing extensive support to the Houthi rebels that have launched a number of attacks on neighbour Saudi Arabia – Iran’s regional enemy.

During the course of 2018, the Iranian regime has been behind a number of terrorist plots, assassinations and surveillance operations on European soil. Its brazen activity in Europe proves that the regime is becoming more and more emboldened.

It is for this reason, and the potential terrorist plots that are being fine-tuned, that the Western governments should take tougher action against the regime. There is potential for an even bigger crisis and the European appeasement policies could be very dangerous.
