INU - In a July 27 article in the International Business Times Harriet Sinclair reports that a group of female cyclists were arrested for riding a bike in a public place, in the north-western Iranian city of Marivan. They were forced to sign a pledge promising they will not cycle in public again.

INU - On Wednesday, new details emerged about the widely reported arrests and prosecutions of Iranian Instagram models, photographers, and others. Although this crackdown, the result of an online sting operation known as Spider II, only became major international news this week, an Iranian human rights group points out that the interrogations leading to 29 criminal cases so far took place mainly between November 2015 and March 2016.

INU - The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has reported that the Iranian regime has flogged a woman in public in Golpayegan, central Iran. Identified with only the initials S. T., the woman was given 100 lashes according to state media.

PARIS (AFP) - A number of female Air France cabin crew are resisting an airline ruling that they should wear a headscarf while in Teheran when flights to the Iranian capital resume on April 17, a union representative told AFP on Saturday (April 2).
