Iran: Oppression of Students via Conduct Codes and Clothing Regulations Continues

On September 18, state news agency, “Daneshju”, reported that one of the forms the students at Beheshti University are obliged to fill out upon admittance, is the Student Disciplinary Pledge. Failure to comply with the Pledge will be considered a disciplinary violation, and dealt with according to the university’s disciplinary regulations.

Iran: Chador Mandatory for Public Services for Women

INU - In an August 14 article for the NCRI’s Women’s Committee photographs were displayed on numerous billboards and placards posted in cities across the country.  

In an attempt to impose the compulsory veil on women, they will not be allowed public services if they do not were the head-to-toe black veil or Chador. Iranian women must wear the Chador in order to enter certain places.
