INU - According to Agence-France Presse, US Secretary of State John Kerry issued a statement on Friday calling for the release of former US Marine Amir Hekmati from Iranian custody. The statement referred to the Iranian-American’s “unjust detention” and said of the State Department and Obama administration, “We repeat our call on the Iranian government to release Amir on humanitarian grounds.”
