Last Tuesday, the Deputy Director of the National Council of Resistance of Iran’s (NCRI) US Representative Office, Alireza Jafarzadeh, revealed some information about Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) and its training centres. The information was gathered by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) which has an extensive network inside Iran.

The Friends of a Free Iran (FOFI) group held a conference at the European Parliament in Strasbourg on the 38th anniversary of the 1979 Iranian Revolution, on Wednesday, February 15, 2017.  MEP Gérard Deprez chaired the meeting, which was attended by many members of the European Parliament.  The guest speaker was Mohammad Mohaddessin from the Iranian democratic opposition.

The US representative office of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) held a press conference in Washington D.C. on Tuesday, 14 February 2017, where they revealed new information about the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) hosting terrorist training camps for foreign fighters.

A major challenge that looms on the horizon for the new U.S. administration is how to deal with the theocracy ruling Iran. A key factor for a sound policy on Iran is to understand the adversarial nature of the clerical regime, and its relationship with the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) and its extraterritorial arm, the Qods Force.

INU - A professor of political science in Tehran University, Sadeq Zibakalam, who is also a close confidant of Ali Akbar Hashem Rafsanjani, former head of Iran’s Expediency Council, stated that Iran, similar to those who murdered Imam Hossein (the grandson of Prophet Mohammad), has murdered thousands of members of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) in the course of 10 years following the 1979 revolution, most of them during the summer of 1988 in Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison.  This was reported by al-Quds al-Arabi daily on  February 11th, 2017, in an article written by Mohamed al-Mazhaji.

It has become public knowledge that many of the major news reports from last year contain false information. A large part of this has to do with lobbyists from other countries who work to influence foreign policy. This is the case with Iran.

Or at least it was the case. Unlike the President before him, the new US President is not loyal to Tehran, meaning that loyalists no longer have the same holding as before.
