On Wednesday, August 28, the Iranian regime executed eight prisoners in Raja'i Shahr prison. The prisoners were previously transferred to solitary confinement. Yet the state-run media have not reported this mass execution yet.
According to the international Institutions such as the Amnesty International, Iran ranks first in the world in terms of execution per capital.
Based on a report by the Center for Statistics, Publications, and Works of Human Rights Activists in Iran, between January 2018 and December 20, 2018, the Iranian regime executed 236 people, and 195 others are now on death row. There were six juveniles among the victims.
According to this report, the government or the judiciary do not announce more than 72 percent of the executions, these executions are called “secret executions."
