Even while the Iranian people are facing widespread arrests, and brutal violence by the regime’s security forces, the Basij and the Revolutionary Guard, they have decided to continue the protests. These protests are continuing because the people are fed up with the regime and the living conditions in the country and their passion for living in a free country.
Brewing for many years and decades, they are rooted in the corruption of a regime that has nothing left for the people. All the regime’s officials are enjoying impunity. Instead, they are imposing injustice and a kind of lifestyle on the people rooted in the regime’s medieval ideology, culture, and nature, which has been completely rejected by almost all the people.
These protests are continuing because for the people it has become clear that any reform is an illusion, especially after the regime responds to any protest with execution, and harsh and inhuman punishments.
This is clearly visible in the people’s creativity for their slogans, echoing the message of the regime’s overthrow and ending in any imaginable form.
The regime’s human rights violations are very widespread. They are happening all over the country. Numbers are speaking very loudly about the situation.
According to the Iranian opposition Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK/PMOI), the protests have extended to 282 cities. The regime has killed over 750 citizens, injured tens of thousands, and detained more than 30,000. The MEK has published the names of 601 killed protesters.
But the numbers are twice because the regime has forced many families not to publicize the death of their loved ones. Many of the detainees are taken to unknown places therefore giving an exact number of the deaths and arrests has become very difficult.
December 30 marked the 106th day of anti-regime protests in Iran. The demonstrations began following the heinous murder of Mahsa Amini, 22, in police custody. However, it immediately turned into a revolution against the entire theocratic regime.

Today the people in the cities of Zahedan, Khash, and Rask of Sistan & Baluchestan Province took to the streets and protested the mullahs’ regime.
They chanted slogans against the regime, demanding the regime’s overthrow and the end of the repression and execution.
They expressed their solidarity with the protesting people in other cities and provinces and demand the release of all political prisoners and those arrested in recent protests and condemned the regime’s latest executions. Significant was the presence of women in the protests.
The people’s slogans included: “We don’t want a child-killing government”, “political prisoners should be released”, “We do not want an ISIS governor”, “death to the dictator”, and “death to Khamenei.”

- In her tweet, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the National Council Resistance of Iran (NCRI) said: “I urge Iranians all over the world to encourage the people and governments of their respective countries to recognize the right of the Iranian people and youths to overthrow the ruling religious fascism and to obtain freedom.”
- Norbert Röttgen, a member of Germany’s Bundestag in a tweet asked his government: “When will Iran’s banks in Germany be closed, dear federal government?”
- An article published by Dark Reading on December 16, revealed the regime’s new activities in kidnapping operations. It wrote: “State-sponsored advanced persistent threat (APT) Charming Kitten (aka TA453), which is purportedly linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has updated its phishing techniques, and is using malware and more confrontational lures, possibly in service to kidnapping operations.”
- The International Committee in Search of Justice (ISJ) in a tweet criticized the EU’s decision to revive the JCPOA and insist to continue its negotiations with the regime and wrote, “Utterly Shameful: EU, with dead JCPOA, is siding with the child killers in Iran! Iran regime has killed 700 including 70 children in Iran revolution. It’s a litmus test for the EU. Will they side with another fascist religious regime or the people of Iran?”
- In a tweet, US senator Robert Menendez expressed his support for Iran people’s protests and wrote: “We will never forget the faces and names of those murdered and detained during Iran protests. Supporters of the Iranian people around the world are ensuring the regime in Tehran does not forget them either.”
Sistan & Baluchestan Province
“We don’t want a child-killing government”, and “political prisoner should be released,” chanted brave women at their protest. Source
Brave people protested the regime while carrying a placard saying: “In our Iran asking about justice is dealing with bullets. Bloody Friday.” Source
People of Zahedan protested and chanted: “We do not want an ISIS governor.” This came after the regime’s decision to appoint Mohammad Karimi, commander of ‘Quds Base’ of the Ground Forces of IRGC as the governor. Source
