Iran’s Child-Killing Regime Tramples All Human Values

On Thursday, November 17, 2022, the regime reportedly employed 40,000 Revolutionary Guards and Basij paramilitary agents and 10,000 security forces in Tehran to quell protests and end merchants’ strikes. Sadly, plainclothes agents gunned down 10-year-old Kian Pirfalak in Izeh. Kian’s father Meysam was severely injured and passed away in a hospital.

“Khamenei committed yet another ruthless crime against humanity in Izeh,” said Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). “Kian Pirfalak, 10, was killed by plainclothes agents. He symbolizes the Iranian people’s innocence and the regime’s brutality who killed dozens of people on November 15 and 16.”

Furthermore, crowds of citizens attended the funerals and memorial ceremonies of several martyrs across the country. In Bukan, citizens paid homage to the late Mohammad Hassanzadeh, 28, and Salar Mojaver, 30. In Sanandaj, citizens attended the 40-day memorials of Peyman Menbari, Yahya Rahimi, Mohammad Amini, and Daryush Alizadeh, chanting: “Death to Khamenei!” and “Death to [Khamenei] for all these years of crime!” In Saqqez, many citizens attended the funeral of Danial Pabandi, 17.

Anti-regime protests continue in Tehran and across the country despite the internet shutdown, security forces opening fire on protesters and arbitrarily arresting citizens, and propaganda campaigns against freedom-loving demonstrators.

November 17 marked the 63^rd day of anti-regime protests in Iran. The demonstrations began following the heinous murder of Mahsa Amini, 22, in police custody. However, it immediately turned into a revolution against the entire theocratic regime.

According to the Iranian opposition Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK/PMOI), the protests have extended to 231 cities. The regime has killed more than 600 citizens, injured tens of thousands, and detained over 30,000. The MEK has published the names of 427 killed protesters.

Key Developments:

• Izeh witnessed a tense conflict between freedom-loving citizens and oppressive forces. Obtained footage shows the regime directly targeted citizens with live ammunition, injuring and killing dozens of people, including Kian Pirfalak, 10.
• The MEK announced the regime murdered at least 40 citizens across the country. This organization also declared the names and specifics of 19 other martyrs. Since the uprising began, the MEK has published the names of 427 slain protesters.
• Protesters attacked and torched the Friday Prayer Imam’s car in Semirom, IRGC Basij bases in Zanjan and Yazd, and the Basij statue in Sarbandar. In Bukan, protesters took over the local municipality, torched a regime local mercenary’s car and home, and blocked the Bukan—Mahabad road.
• IRGC-run Fars news agency reported a security forces major officer in Sanandaj and two Basij agents in Mashhad were killed.
• Following the mass killing of over 600 defenseless protesters and bystanders, IRGC Fars paved the path for further atrocities, claiming: “The start of armed conflict phase in Iran!”
• The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctioned 13 companies in multiple jurisdictions facilitating the sale of hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of Iranian petrochemicals and petroleum products to buyers in East Asia on behalf of sanctioned Iranian petrochemical brokers.
• Freedom-loving Iranians rallied outside the Board of Governors headquarters in Vienna, Austria, calling on world powers to stop appeasing the mullahs’ regime, designate IRGC as a terrorist organization, and refer the Iran dossier of human rights abuses, nuclear extortion, and regional ambitions to the UN Security Council.
• The Iranian authorities are seeking the death penalty for at least 21 people in sham trials designed to intimidate those participating in the popular uprising that has rocked Iran since September and deter others from joining the movement, Amnesty International said.
