INU - A delegation from the Iranian Resistance participated in The British Liberal Democratic Party's annual conference, which was held in Bournemouth in late September. They met with Representatives of the House of Commons and British Lords of the Liberal Democratic Party to discuss the perpetuation of human rights violations in Iran, specifically the continued executions, and in particular, the execution of women and youths.

As the United Nations General Assembly took place in New York, thousands of Iranians and supporters of the Iranian Resistance gathered in protest. They were protesting the presence of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani at the event and urged the United Nations to call for an end to the Iranian regime’s brutal rule.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) is a strong movement, which its central council consists of thousands of women. In Iran, Albania, France, Germany, London and Sweden. On September 6th, when the 52nd anniversary of the organization was celebrated, its congress elected a woman as its new Secretary General. Ms. Zahra Merrikhi will serve as the new Secretary General for the next two years.

INU - The Friends of a Free Iran in the European Parliament (FOFI), who has the support of around 300 parliamentarians from various political groups and countries, held a conference at the headquarters of the European Parliament in Strasbourg on September 13th, 2017. Dozens of MEPs called on the Council of the European Union, the member states, and the High Representative of the European Union, Mrs. Federica Mogherini, to end silence and inaction regarding the brutal violation of human rights in Iran. They demanded an independent investigation by the United Nations into the massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in Iran in 1988, and that those responsible for the crime be brought to trial.
