The religious dictatorship ruling Iran is gripped by profound crises. There is no question that the regime's days are numbered. In contrast, the democratic alternative is flourishing. Those who benefit from the policy of appeasing the regime claim that there is no reliable alternative to this regime. They also argue that if the regime were to collapse, the world will encounter conditions that would be much worse than Libya or Egypt during the Arab Spring.

Rajavi: World must support MEK and they can start by holding Iran to account for the 1988 massacre

When we left off in our previous article, Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the Iranian Resistance was decrying the fact that the 1988 massacre of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) by the Iranian Regime was largely ignored by lawmakers and Western media, who failed to address the crime at the time or afterward.

Earlier this year, Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) - the coalition which includes the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) - gave a speech to visiting lawmakers at the MEK headquarters in Albania, where many MEK members were relocated to following prolonged attacks from the Iranian Regime and its proxy forces at the former MEK base in Iraq.
