INU - On November 21, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) called for an investigation into the September 1, 2013 attack at Camp Ashraf, Iraq.  This is the third major international organization to respond to the attack in the past week; Amnesty International and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) issued statements earlier this week.  

Amnesty International, in an urgent call to action on November 19, announced that the seven Iranian exiles who were abducted from Camp Ashraf in Iraq are held by Iraqi security forces in Baghdad.

It has been more than  80 days since protestors across the globe started a hunger strike to denounce the attack on Camp Ashraf, Iraq and the capture of seven camp residents by Iraqi forces.  Today, Iran News Update brings you the most recent hunger strike news and global responses.   

INU - The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) will expose a new secret nuclear site of the clerical regime in a press conference in Paris on Monday, November 18.

Today the hunger strikers held a memorial for Said Norasi one of the 52 victims of the massacre on September 1, 2013.
One of the hunger strikers was taken to the hospital. This is the sixth time during the last seven days that someone has had to go to the hospital. Almost all of the hunger strikers have lost 15 kilos or more.

On Nov. 12, NCRI hosted a Twitter chat with former political prisoner and hunger striker Mahin Saremi .  Saremi answered a number of questions about her time as a political prisoner in Iran, insight into the status of the seven hostages and how the hunger strikes are progressing in Berlin.
