According to reliable information, the Iraqi Prime Minister, Nouri-al- Maliki, has been negotiating with the Iranian regime's ambassador in Baghdad through his National Security Advisor, Falleh Fayaz, regarding the fate of seven residents of Ashraf. The hostages were abducted during the September 1, 2013 raid to Camp Ashraf by Iraqi forces.

NCRI- The United States must urge Iraq to release the seven hostages taken captive during the September 1 massacre of 52 residents of Camp Ashraf, 34 leading US congressmen have demanded.

While seven members of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) inCamp Ashraf abducted on September 1 by forces under command of Maliki are still held captive by the forces in Baghdad and while international community’s loath for the attack on Ashraf and calls for immediate release of the hostages heightens daily, Maliki’s so-called Ministry of Human Rights is resorting to fabrications and slander to justify the massacre and hostage-taking and the crime against humanity by Maliki and forces under his command.

The Iranian regime's Minister of Intelligence denied on Sunday that the seven Camp Ashraf residents abducted during the September 1 massacre at the camp have been transferred to Iran.
