From Tehran to Karaj, Qazvin, and dozens of other cities, Resistance Units intensified their activities, proving that the spirit of defiance against dictatorship remains alive across Iran.
Following the first wave of Resistance Unit activities on September 1, which featured coordinated rallies across various cities, Iran witnessed a second and third wave of bold defiance on September 2 and 3. These waves coincided with the approach of September 6, the anniversary of the founding of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), transforming city streets into vibrant battlegrounds against tyranny.
Tehran: 22 Acts of Resistance in Honor of 60 Years of Struggle
In Tehran alone, Resistance Units carried out 22 separate operations to honor six decades of PMOI resistance. Their actions—ranging from slogans and banners to fiery displays of protest—created a surge of hope and determination among the youth. Messages such as “Sixty years, neither Shah nor mullah”, “Long live Rajavi”, and “Women are the force of change” echoed across neighborhoods. Large banners proclaimed: “Our choice is Maryam Rajavi” and “The Iranian people deserve freedom, democracy, and gender equality.”
Karaj: Defiance Across Neighborhoods
In Karaj, Resistance Units spread their message through banners, graffiti, and slogans that rejected compulsory hijab, forced religion, and dictatorship. Slogans included “No to compulsory hijab, no to compulsory religion, no to compulsory rule” and “The mullahs’ rule and the monarchy must end.”
Qazvin: Honoring Six Decades of Resistance
In Qazvin, Resistance Units marked the anniversary with widespread actions, including images of PMOI founder Hanif Rajavi and slogans such as “Freedom is the inalienable right of our nation” and “Women are the force of change.” Parks, streets, and squares became canvases for powerful reminders of the PMOI’s legacy of sacrifice and struggle.
Nationwide Spread: From Mashhad to Shiraz, Isfahan to Ardabil
Resistance Units extended their activities across major and smaller cities alike, including Mashhad, Shiraz, Isfahan, Tabriz, Ilam, Birjand, Ardabil, Dehdasht, Bojnurd, Yazd, Hamadan, Lahijan, Shahr-e Kord, and beyond. Messages highlighted freedom, democracy, and the rejection of both monarchy and theocratic dictatorship. Slogans such as “Neither crown nor turban—democracy and equality”, “The fall of this regime is inevitable”, and “Long live freedom” appeared in public spaces nationwide.
A Symbol of Perseverance and Hope
These coordinated acts were far more than symbolic gestures. They represented the continuation of 60 years of struggle by the PMOI—through imprisonment, torture, and execution—against two dictatorships. Each banner, slogan, and flame carried a message of hope: that Iran’s future belongs not to tyranny, but to the people and their organized resistance.
The heroic actions of the Resistance Units sent a resounding message across the nation: repression cannot crush the will for freedom. The regime’s walls of fear are crumbling, and the dawn of liberation is drawing near.
