INU - A bill entitled “Iranian Proxies Terrorist Sanctions Act of 2017,” was introduced on November 3rd, by the U.S. House of Representatives. It is reported to impose terrorism-related sanctions regarding Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq and Harakat al-Nujaba, each allegedly involved with Iraq’s Mobilization Forces (P.M.F.) and with the fighting in Syria under the leadership of Iranian Quds Force Commander, Qassem Soleimani.

INU - The US government's star witness in a huge court case related to the breaching of sanctions against the Iranian Regime has admitted that he paid bribes in order to get released from a Turkish jail after his 2013 arrest as part of another sanctions evasion plot by the Iranian Regime.

 Last month, President of the United Stated Donald Trump decided not to recertify Iran’s compliance to the 2015 nuclear deal. Several leaders from the European Union called on Trump, before he made the announcement, to strongly consider his decision because if he decided to decertify Iran’s compliance, the deal could fall apart and the nuclear threat would be more dangerous than ever.

INU - Last week, the House Financial Services Committee approved the Strengthening Oversight of Iran’s Access to Finance Act. The bill codifies in law a set of conditions that the U.S. Treasury must use to evaluate licenses for the sale of commercial aircraft to Iran. It requires the secretary of the Treasury to report within 30 days, whether transactions related to the export and re-export of aircraft to Iran pose a “significant money laundering or terrorism financing risk to the United States financial system.”

INU -The United States has discontinued its policy of appeasement. The Trump
administration de-certified compliance to the requirements of the nuclear agreement by the Iranian regime, and now Congress must decide whether or not to reimpose the sanctions that had been lifted through the 2015 nuclear agreement within 60 days.
