Ebrahim Jabbari says regime’s focus is on internal control; downplays nuclear site damage
Ebrahim Jabbari, an advisor to the commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), claimed that Iran’s regime intentionally held back many of its military capabilities during the recent 12-day conflict with Israel. “If the aggression continues, there will be no such thing as a stable energy market in the Persian Gulf,” Jabbari warned.
Declaring the conflict a victory for Iran’s regime, he said, “We knew that the only thing that could bring down the regime was internal pressure, so we focused our plan on the internal front.”
Amid ongoing speculation about the regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s whereabouts and decision-making, Jabbari noted: “Military, executive, Supreme National Security Council, and other authorities are giving their opinions to the leader in writing and in person. But the final decision will be made by the leadership based on wisdom, expediency, and knowledge of the situation in Iran and the world.”
Jabbari also addressed reports on the extent of damage to Iran regime’s nuclear facilities: “Our nuclear centers have not suffered the damage they say. The damage to Natanz is minor and can be repaired, the damage to Isfahan is greater, and what they wanted regarding Fordow did not happen.”
