Following a new wave of home demolitions targeting impoverished families, young activists hit regime symbols across multiple cities in a show of defiance.

In the wake of the brutal destruction of homes belonging to impoverished families in Saveh and Zahedan, Iran’s rebellious youth launched a series of bold retaliatory actions across the country, targeting symbols of repression and institutions tied to the regime’s machinery of control. Their response came after regime forces once again intensified their campaign against the poor, demolishing shelters and displacing vulnerable residents on the eve of winter, while officials lived comfortably in luxury compounds far removed from the suffering they inflict.

Footage circulated on social media from Bijgard, Saveh, showed devastated residents standing among the ruins of their homes. One citizen, pointing at the regime agent who oversaw the demolitions, condemned the official for destroying the only shelter people had built with their limited means, lamenting that the attack left families exposed to the cold with nowhere to go. Another resident emphasized that authorities ignored all legal procedures, stating that houses were destroyed without proper notification. According to locals, a judicial official named Salimi personally oversaw the demolition without issuing prior warning, further highlighting the lawlessness exercised by regime institutions.

The attack on Saveh’s impoverished community took place just one week after security forces launched another violent assault on residents of Zahedan. On November 15, 2025, military units and municipality agents stormed the Keshavarz district and streets 42 and 44 of Velayat, destroying at least ten homes. Witnesses described how regime forces refused even to allow Baluch families the chance to salvage their belongings, conducting the operation without presenting a single judicial warrant. This assault followed a similar raid on November 2 in the Doshanbeh Bazar area of Komb, Chabahar, where dozens of shelters belonging to destitute Baluch families were demolished, leaving at least eighty households homeless.

These relentless attacks on the vulnerable sparked a wave of outrage, and the youth responded by striking directly at the regime’s centers of repression. In Zahedan, they set fire to a Basij base tasked with suppressing students, while in Iranshahr another IRGC Basij base involved in targeting high school girls was torched. Similar actions took place in Talesh, Rasht, and Tehran, where banners of Ali Khamenei and Ruhollah Khomeini were burned. Additional strikes targeted a corruption-linked government center in Mashhad, the Khomeini Relief Committee in Urmia, an IRGC Basij base in Birjand, and a regime facility in Saman.

Through these actions, the rebellious youth sent a clear warning to those who order the destruction of homes while living in palatial residences: the regime’s crimes will no longer go unanswered. Their response demonstrated a commitment to defending the oppressed and signaled that the officials responsible for these brutalities cannot escape accountability. Each act of defiance underscored a growing certainty among citizens that the regime’s days are numbered and that the fire of resistance continues to burn across Iran.
