INU - On Friday, the notorious Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) seized a British tanker in Omani waters. Iran initially claimed that the tanker was seized because it had rammed a fishing vessel and failed to respond to calls being made to it, but the British Department of Transport has records proving that the vessel was seized in Omani waters and was then redirected to Iranian waters.

Gingrich: Sanctions Driving Iran to Breaking Point

INU - The former speaker of the US House of Representatives has said that he believes that the tough American sanctions on Iran have shaken the Regime and driven them close to the breaking point.

Newt Gingrich, appearing on Fox & Friends on Tuesday, said: "The sanctions are really biting and, month by month, their economy is getting worse and people are getting more and more unhappy. I think [the Regime is] lashing out desperately, trying to somehow change the circumstance."

INU - US President Donald Trump imposed another round of "hard-hitting" sanctions on Iran this week, specifically targeting supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran's foreign minister Javad Zarif and eight senior commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), which was recently designated as a terrorist organization by the US.
