Iran regime forces destroy residential homes ahead of winter, deepening fear and displacement among local communities.
In Saveh’s Bijgerd neighborhood, families have been rendered homeless as the winter season begins, following the destruction of several residential homes by regime forces loyal to Iran’s Supreme Leader. The demolition, carried out by regime-affiliated security units, deprived residents of their basic shelter just as temperatures start to drop.
A local resident recounted the shocking incident: “As the head of the local administration, he came to inspect the house. Instead of focusing on development or building roads, he demolished the homes that people had built themselves… Where is a farmer supposed to get another house?”
Another affected resident explained the lack of proper notice: “The order was issued for seven or eight houses, but only two or three of us received it. Even then, it was a single notification. They should have informed all the families three times, but instead, they arrived without warning and destroyed the homes.”
Eyewitnesses also described the role of judicial authorities in the operation: “A man named Salimi, the head of the court, came at 11 a.m. without prior notice and demolished the property,” one witness said.
This incident in Saveh echoes a similar crackdown in Zahedan on November 15, 2025, when regime forces targeted residential areas, destroying at least ten homes in minutes. Military and municipal agents attacked the Keshavarz neighborhood and Velayat Streets 42 and 44, leaving families without legal notice and no chance to retrieve personal belongings.
The coordinated demolitions, carried out without legal justification, have left local residents in shock. Witnesses reported that many families could not remove even essential items before the destruction, resulting in the loss of most of their possessions under the rubble.
Residents of Zahedan view the attacks as part of a broader campaign of repression targeting marginalized communities, aimed at instilling fear and forcing displacement. Locals stressed that the officials present provided no explanations for their actions, underscoring the arbitrary and inhumane nature of these operations.
The recent demolitions in Saveh and Zahedan highlight the ongoing plight of ordinary citizens facing systematic repression. As winter sets in, affected families are left vulnerable, homeless, and at the mercy of a regime that continues to prioritize coercion over the basic rights of its people.
