A new wave of coordinated resistance activities across Iran—timed with the anniversary of the November 2019 (Aban) uprising—has marked a significant escalation in organized anti-regime operations carried out by the MEK’s network of Resistance Units (Kanoon-e Shureshi). This nationwide campaign not only honored the memory of the 1,500 martyrs of the Aban uprising, but also demonstrated that the spirit of November continues in a new phase of maximum pressure against the regime.

A Coordinated Structure Behind a Nationwide Campaign

What distinguishes this year’s Aban anniversary actions is the scale, precision, and synchronized organization behind them. According to the reports, Resistance Units executed six nationwide Aban Uprising campaigns, comprising 167 anti-repression operations and revolutionary activities across the country.

The structure and execution of the operations reflect a disciplined command network capable of coordinating activities across many provinces. In the fifth wave of the campaign, Resistance Units carried out 24 banner installations and large-format image displays mounted on bridges and overpasses—high-risk locations under constant surveillance. Shortly after, the sixth wave expanded the scope of action with 60 separate operations, ranging from symbolic public displays to direct anti-regime messaging.

These acts took place simultaneously in cities including Tehran, Shiraz, Isfahan, Mashhad, Tabriz, Ahvaz, Zanjan, Sanandaj, and Karaj, demonstrating both geographic reach and operational cohesion. This level of organization has enabled the Resistance Units to project the uprising’s central message—maximum resistance until freedom—across a wide national landscape.

Organized Defiance in the Face of Full Regime Mobilization

The significance of these 167 actions becomes even more evident when viewed against the backdrop of the regime’s heightened state of alert. In the days surrounding November 15–19, the IRGC, Basij, and police forces entered a full-scale security mobilization. Regime-affiliated “districts and bases” intensified weapons checks, ammunition distribution, and shooting drills to prepare for a potential unrest.

The scale of security deployment in Tehran alone was unprecedented. On November 15, nearly 30,000 security personnel—a mix of IRGC, Basij, and police units—were deployed to control the capital. Motorized patrols flooded neighborhoods, while plainclothes agents and intelligence units jointly monitored public spaces.

Despite this widespread militarization, Resistance Units successfully executed 24 banner installations and image displays on bridges—locations heavily monitored by motorbike patrols and surveillance teams. These actions underscore not only operational capability but also extraordinary personal bravery.

Courage, Sacrifice, and the Spirit of the Martyrs of Aban

Members of the Resistance Units carry out their activities with a conscious acceptance of risk, including arrest, torture, execution, and martyrdom. Their slogans—“We swear by the blood of our comrades, we stand until the end” and “We fight, we die, we take Iran back”—reflect the depth of their commitment to maximum sacrifice for freedom.

This spirit, rooted in the memory of the November 2019 martyrs, has transformed the Aban anniversary from a commemorative event into a renewed, action-driven phase of resistance.

A Turning Point: One Step Away from the Next Uprising

The Iranian Resistance considers these 167 operations worthy of “praise and salute,” emphasizing that this year’s campaign proves the Iranian people’s readiness for the next uprising. The fact that Resistance Units succeeded despite the regime’s extensive security measures demonstrates both their determination and their growing organizational strength.

This dynamic signals a critical shift:
Iran’s society is now in a decisive state—one step away from the next uprising.
