From Kermanshah to Bandar Abbas, Resistance Units commemorated the anniversary of Operation Eternal Light with memorial ceremonies, posters, banners, and public displays reaffirming their commitment to freedom and democratic change.
On July 25, marking the anniversary of Operation Eternal Light (Forough Javidan), Resistance Units carried out a coordinated series of commemorative activities across Iran. The nationwide campaign included memorial ceremonies, flower-laying tributes, poster and leaflet installations, photo actions, and public displays honoring those who lost their lives during the operation while reaffirming the continued struggle for a free and democratic Iran.
The coordinated actions stretched across the country, demonstrating the organizational reach of the Resistance Units despite the regime’s extensive security apparatus. Throughout the campaign, participants displayed messages emphasizing freedom, equality, resistance, and remembrance of the operation’s fallen members.
Kermanshah: Honoring the Fallen at the Battlefield
The most symbolic commemoration took place in Kermanshah, where Resistance Units laid flowers at the site associated with those who fell during Operation Eternal Light.
One participant described the historic significance of the location, saying the surrounding land still bears witness to the courage of the men and women of the National Liberation Army who fought “with hearts filled with love for the Iranian people and their homeland.”
The speaker paid tribute to Tahereh Tolou (Commander Sara) and other fallen commanders before concluding with the slogans:
“Death to the oppressor, whether Shah or Supreme Leader.” and “Long live Rajavi.”
Resistance Units also installed posters of Tahereh Tolou, describing Operation Eternal Light as “an unforgettable epic in the history of Iran’s liberation struggle.”
Tehran: Memorials and Public Displays Across the Capital
The largest number of activities was reported in Tehran, where Resistance Units organized an extensive series of commemorative actions.
Members created memorial tables decorated with photographs of those killed during Operation Eternal Light, accompanied by flowers and candles while renewing their pledge to continue the struggle until the overthrow of the regime.
One Resistance Unit member declared:
“We are the same generation that sacrificed 1,304 commanders during the historic Operation Eternal Light but never surrendered. Today we stand more united, with stronger ranks and greater determination against the criminal regime.”
Across the capital, Resistance Units also:
- Installed numerous posters featuring Massoud Rajavi and Maryam Rajavi.
- Displayed images of armored columns involved in the operation.
- Honored women who participated in Operation Eternal Light.
- Held educational gatherings recalling the significance of the operation.
- Conducted multiple photo actions displaying portraits and commemorative messages.
Many of the displayed slogans emphasized that the spirit of Operation Eternal Light now lives on through the Resistance Units operating across Iran.

Northwest and Western Iran
Resistance Units carried out commemorative activities in:
- Tabriz, where participants held handwritten commemorative placards.
- Sanandaj, where posters honoring the fallen were displayed alongside flowers.
- Saqqez, where participants displayed slogans calling for the end of the doctrine of Velayat-e Faqih and supporting the National Liberation Army.
- Hamedan, where two-person photo actions featured messages from both Massoud Rajavi and Maryam Rajavi.
- Gilan-e Gharb, where Tahereh Tolou was honored through commemorative photo actions and posters.
- Dorud, where numerous posters commemorated Operation Eternal Light, its commanders, and the Resistance leadership.
- Kermanshah, including additional public displays near Hasan Abad Pass and at Enghelab Square and the Bisotun Cultural Complex, featuring artwork and slogans commemorating the operation.
Central Iran
In Isfahan, Resistance Units installed numerous posters and leaflets highlighting messages from Massoud Rajavi and Maryam Rajavi while describing Operation Eternal Light as an enduring inspiration for freedom and equality.
In Kerman, members displayed posters of Maryam Rajavi and conducted photo actions honoring Tahereh Tolou.
Northeastern Iran
In Mashhad, Resistance Units organized multiple public displays featuring placards and posters stating that Operation Eternal Light had signaled the beginning of the regime’s eventual downfall while emphasizing that its legacy continues through today’s Resistance Units.
Southern Iran
Activities were also reported in:
- Shiraz, where numerous posters honored Operation Eternal Light, Tahereh Tolou, and Maryam Rajavi while emphasizing the operation’s continuing legacy.
- Ahvaz, where commemorative posters were displayed publicly.
- Bandar Abbas, where Resistance Units not only installed posters but also conducted public image displays at Imam Hossein Boulevard and Abu Musa Boulevard, highlighting Maryam Rajavi alongside messages linking Operation Eternal Light to today’s organized resistance.
Northern Iran
Commemorative actions also took place in:
- Bandar Anzali, where large portraits of Massoud Rajavi were displayed publicly and along riverside railings.
- Babol, where participants conducted photo actions featuring both Maryam Rajavi and Massoud Rajavi.
