Deadly crackdown targets women and girls in Gunich village during raid by IRGC and police.

Human rights sources have confirmed that security forces killed one woman and injured eleven others in a violent raid on the village of Gunich in Sistan and Baluchestan province. The victims, most of them women and girls from the Bameri family, were shot during a protest against the regime’s military conduct.

One pregnant woman lost her unborn child due to police assault. At least two of the wounded remain in critical condition in intensive care. Tasnim News, affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards, confirmed two deaths and over 50 arrests in the region. Activists have linked this violence to ongoing crackdowns on ethnic minorities following the 2022 Bloody Friday massacre in Zahedan.
