Simay-e Azadi (INTV), the television network of the Iranian Resistance, successfully held its 29th fundraising telethon, attracting widespread support from Iranians both inside the country and across the globe. This monumental event, which lasted a total of 54 hours, began at 4:30 PM on Friday, January 17, 2025, and concluded at 10:15 AM on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
A Global Effort for Freedom
The telethon operated 110 telephone lines in various countries, supplemented by internet and video communication channels, enabling extensive connections with supporters. Concurrently, hashtags related to the fundraiser gained traction on social media, amplifying the event’s reach and impact.
What transpired during these four days was a powerful demonstration of solidarity, compassion, and selflessness. At a time when the voice of the Iranian people is heavily censored by the regime and other entities with conflicting agendas, Simay-e Azadi stands out as the sole broadcaster funded by and dedicated to the Iranian people.

Unwavering Support Amid Challenges
A significant number of Iranians from Tehran and other cities attempted to contribute, but the sheer volume of calls overwhelmed technical systems. Despite these challenges, countless voice and written messages poured in, though only a fraction could be broadcast. Many supporters, undeterred by connectivity issues, waited tirelessly to express their solidarity and provide financial assistance.
The telethon saw participation from people of all ages and backgrounds, including women, men, youth, and even children. These contributors, motivated by their desire to amplify the voice of freedom, gave whatever they could to support the cause.
Prominent Figures Join the Cause
Athletes, national sports heroes, researchers, university professors, and experts also played a significant role in the event. Iranian communities and political prisoners—survivors of both the Shah’s and the mullahs’ regimes—shared their testimonies and support, either in person, in groups, or via virtual platforms like Zoom.
Notably, political prisoners who escaped the regime’s notorious dungeons recounted harrowing experiences of human rights abuses. They provided insight into crimes committed by regime officials, such as Ali Razini and Mohammad Moghiseh, both of whom were implicated in atrocities and faced justice at the hands of a brave young man on January 18, 2025.

A United Front Against Oppression
Participants highlighted the growing failures of the regime, including its collapsing policy of exporting extremism and its inability to sustain its regional influence. With the fall of the Assad regime in Syria, the regime’s strategies have floundered, leaving it exposed to further setbacks and scandals.
This historic telethon reaffirmed the Iranian Resistance’s rightful stance and the people’s steadfast support for a free, democratic Iran. As thousands of Iranian experts and professionals abroad anticipate the nation’s reconstruction post-regime, the contributions and solidarity demonstrated during this event stand as a beacon of hope and determination for the future of Iran.
